Flaws in the human condition - Written by Austin

My grandson wrote this piece in high school, very well read young man with a beautiful mind yet understanding we as a society of mortals are also flawed. Austin AP Literature and Composition 10 March 2012 Flaws in the human condition             As many people would say in a modern society, “Nobody is perfect”. This is true because as humans, people are always making mistakes on a daily basis, which is simply a part of growth and development. Unfortunately, making mistakes is only one of the handful of flaws in what is known as “the human condition.” The human condition's flaws are a popular subject in all forms of media, from books, to films and television, and even live theatrical productions. Two prime examples of human flaws being a major plot point is in both William Shakespeare's “Hamlet” and Barbara Kingsolver's “The Poisonwood Bible.” Both literary works discuss dealing with states of madness and despair, and

Two Couches

Two Couches           Arriving at the local furniture store, a man buys two identical couches with the intention of giving one away as a freewill gift and retaining the other for his own use. When delivered, sitting one in his formal living room and the other being sat in his basement. Running a small advertisement stating he will give the couch to a person in need, responses were quick with appointments set for potential receipt of the couch. His first responder came to his home, greeted at the door seeing the beautiful couch in the living room, was lead to a basement door. Entering the basement another couch against a stonewall sitting alone in the space catches his view The owner made an offer for him to sit on the basement couch. As he sat clearly seeing this piece of furniture is a duplicate of the same in the living room he feels a slightly off balance motion, also unsure whether the upholstery is what he is looking for.

Time Tracks - revisited

Having written well over 2000 different pieces over the years, at times I revisit the files which have accumulated. Time Tracks is one I particularly enjoyed. One afternoon, my grandson and I went to a local park; taking his school work and a book we headed for the gazebo at the lake. I sat out closer to the water and he remained directly behind at a picnic table. When you are in the experience rather than just in a state of imagination the reality usually comes in hind sight. For what seemed liked minutes, was suddenly jolted by my grandson's voice asking when we would leave? Jolting me from the space of the tracks back to a present reality gives new meaning to the phrase "Oh Snap!". The physical return jolt can be actually painful, disoriented and feeling much like having a few too many drinks and losing the sense of the floor beneath your feet in feeling the reconnection. Time Tracks I sat by the water illuminated by the morning light. Glancing across the rip

To Whom This Test of Light is Told

To Whom This Test of Light is Told To whom this test of light is told To who will choose to be the soul? Who is but one within all Listen my child, Listen to thee Listen my child to who you be You choose to be the light of old You choose to be the stories of old Take from thy soul, the cauldron of old Take from thy soul the mystery to unfold The magic is in the soul of old The magic is but the story retold Be not afraid, be not fore bold. Be as you are, be the story of old The mystery surrounds the cauldron of old The mystery is but the story to unfold Hear me my child, hear me unfold Hear through the mystery, so old and untold Be as you are Be as the old Be as the child Be ever bold Truth and knowledge are yours to hold These words, were given years ago and the reason I choose to be who I am. Pressures

Pressures When the pressures of this world seem to get too great, we tend to hesitate. Release is just a moment away, knowing that we have something to say. When the inclination is too shout at those around us. Letting them know we sometimes feel, as they have abandoned us. In that moment, you feel a touch or a scent among us. knowing that the message is too trust. Realization comes that was has been abandoned, is the heart from the head. Knowing that all before us is - for just cause on the path now tread. A time to rejoin the heart and walk again In a way that we have done since time began. copyright@lsmyers

Energy of the universal response - the rising of intuition from within

Watching #SharkTank tonight, an individual female came into the tank with a product mat for children which they could be fed on and prevent slipping, sliding and the destructive powers her children had while eating, This woman tended not to blink and after a short time I turned away from the hollow eyes doing the presentation. We live in a highly intuitive world where feeling creates decision and can not be masked from the soul feelings of another who is viewing. If another creates tears in which a trigger is not released for you own, you know those are tears created from other than a soul response. We react  soul to soul rather than just through the emotional body we reside in. What is real is real, what is false is false and what is false created to evoke a real response is not noted and responded too.  This year the anniversary of Normandy was brought back to our attention. A short span of time where over 425,000 lives across all nations and adversaries were lost. Almost half a
