Former Mayor and Minister, Congressman Cleaver renews faith in people helping people in Kansas City http://www.kmbc.com/news/30320135/detail.html Former Mayor/Minister and now Congressman Cleaver renewed faith this week in people assisting people regardless of circumstances in Kansas City this week. Emanuel Cleaver has long been known in Kansas City as a minister, Mayor and now Congressman in Washington – this week we saw Emanuel Cleaver doing what a person does to assist another in need, regardless of the circumstances and outcome. The area of 44th and Troost in Kansas City is more known for being a violent area of this city, rather than being a location of a good Samaritan to another in need. After passing a ditch and noticing a hand in the air, rather than just passing and calling for assistance, Mr. Cleaver has his driver circle back to find a woman who had slipped into unconsciousness, staying with her until emergency medical help could arrive and transport the woman fo...

Addictive Obsessions

Addictive Obsessions This morning on Anderson Cooper the show was about a shopaholic mother and the destructive outcome on the family, by clicking the title of this post the show can be viewed. In this instance, the mother had became disabled and filled the void of an active life with shopping to excess and potentially bankrupting her family in the process - in complete denial. As the obsession has progressed, so has being aware of multiple diseases she is coping with in the physical body. Any addiction, will bring disease as an outward sign in the physical body - the psyche is going to find a physical match between addiction and disease, with progression between both only becoming more enhanced. In the circumstance of the show, it is easy for an outsider to tell her to just stop and change her life. Addictions create passions for the addiction and to lose the addiction a persons' pschye is going to continually reaffirm to them of a void/fear and darkness outside of addiction ...

The Painting - which withstood the fire

The Painting - which withstood the fire Deb Hanna on Facebook My spirit guide drawing of Joseph and book jacket cover done by Deb Hanna Almost a decade ago, I asked a friend of mine who is a visionary artist to create a spirit guide drawing for one of my daughters. My daughter, at the time had recently miscarried a baby, was in a strange city and feeling alone with loss and adjustment. The drawing became a point of conversation with my daughter, image of feeling life was safe, and better days were to come. Shortly after receiving the drawing, she once again became pregnant and brought the first of two granddaughters into this world. The drawing through the years remained in her home. Five years ago this spring, a fire engulfed her home, total loss with heat so intense the cross beams burned also. The spirit guide drawing was sitting on a shelf above the point of origin of the fire, although everything in the home was lost – the drawing itself was found intact without even smoke...

Releasing and letting go - The Sedona Method

To Not Confuse Tolerance with Peace       Tolerance is often confused as peace. Wars are ended in tolerance, treaties drafted in tolerance, and religious beliefs found as being acceptable in tolerance. Tolerance is often mistakenly accepted as being at peace with choices, which are made in life. Although tolerance and peace may find parallel lines of comfort in our world, they are not interchangeable for one another in truth. Tolerance is too tolerated in an expressive manner in life – peace is felt from the heart and expressed in the choices of life.   Are you tolerant of those who you have invited to be a part of your life – or are you at peace? Are you tolerant of the beliefs of others – or are you at peace with the beliefs of others in our world? Are you tolerant of the actions of others – or are you at peace with the actions chosen of others? Do you feel a peace in knowing you are being tolerated? Is it better to accept tolerance in hopes of pe...

Charismatic Healing article on CNN

Image
Healing This is one of my photos, not to be shared - though it does show healing being demonstrated in spiritual form. Interesting article on Charismatic healing, although I do not feel a need for labels - I can indentify with the premise of this article and appreciate this world is waking up to natural healing. It is a part of who I am and many more - the village of healers is growing.

2011 – Human spirit arisen to new heights

2011 – Human spirit arisen to new heights   2011 - ushered in a rising of human spirit in levels unseen in this world at a rate rapidly changing and moving forward with increasing speed. From one corner of this world to the other, unleashing spirit from within – no longer satisfied to follow a call from outside of itself, from within the face of our world has changed. The rate of progression is only going to increase across the globe. A call to the energy residing in mortality to have their voices heard and no longer to be persuaded to follow, but lead from the heart and soul of change in rising up to be heard. From Egypt, Syria and countless more across the world and in America – change will be found which symbolizes the heart, soul and voice of humanity. Our world watches in wait today as North Korea feels the cloak fall away from their spirit as well. Tension is felt from the uncertainty of times ahead. Masses no longer content to be without or apart of the changing energy of this...

The Frog Pursuit

Image
I wrote this piece many years ago, though I believe at this time in our world it holds a message which is timeless, in the importance being greater in the reflection perceived in this world rather than whose eyes are watching you. The Frog Pursuit Once upon a time, a boy found himself without a care for the discipline of life. From the feeling of being uncaring for what would result in life, this boy stood within his chaos. As he grew and became a man, he continued to flounder in his true desire, uncaring of the outcome of his actions. One day as he was walking through the streets of the busy city that he lived, a small girl unexpectedly crossed his path. Not seeing the small child, through the force of intersecting each other, the small girl was quickly struck down to the curb of the street. Realizing what he had done, the man swiftly bent down to the child. In seeing her dazed eyes, he began to speak to her. The man’s first thought was too ...
