Bottle of Time from the archives

Bottle of Time August 18, 2005 Bottle of Time What if a bottle of time could be seen as being destiny? So is the urge and need of so many to find their destiny within a certain amount of time. If time was to be bottled such as so many elements that those here find to sustain themselves in on way or another, than such maybe just a bottle of time would be seen as attainable to complete and finish, and the token for doing so would be to find destiny at completion. But yet time has been bottled in the form of being non- existent, and yet do they choose to drink what has been given? Time can be chosen to flow incessantly for eons, always being viewed as the future that will be found/will be complete/destiny will be found at “just the right time”. In doing so destiny is passed by every day, which they choose to run ahead of what has been already given. Birds of a feather flock together, taking time to stop on a tree, wire, or time line, exchanging glanc

I am thankful for you - together we are one

From the stories told of the first Thanksgiving, travelers from another country after landing at Plymouth Rock in the hopes of being freed from religious and political prosecution they had known - found themselves becoming sick and dying. Food was short, lodging was still inadequate and medicine was almost non-existent. Homeless in a new world and doubting if the decision to leave all comfort for this new home, was the best decision. They feared those who called this country home, unaccustomed to appearance, ritual and unable to speak the language of communication. In the birth of what we now term Thanksgiving - strangers which landed in a country foreign in appearance and comfort, took a chance on accepting the generosity of another through food exchanged and comfort given. Medicine of the Native American ways was shared to help the sick and dying, suggestions were given to improve areas of living and a new alliance allowed beyond the fear which had distanced their cultures. Family spiritual craft for the holidays

A family craft which has become part of our holidays is fun for the family with a deeper meaning in bringing the love energy of those loved and lost in your life, to be a part of your holiday celebrations. At any craft store you can buy small unfinished wooden ornaments which are frames to be hung on the tree. Taking the time to paint the ornaments and talk about the reasons in each creation opens up dialoug in speaking about family/friends which are no longer part of this world and the memories of Christmas once shared. After painting the ornaments, place a small picture of each loved one in a ornament and hang on the tree with the simple blessing of once again sharing your holidays with those you love. A simple act of remembrance and yet uplifting this time of year.

The Great Swan

Today at the local grocery, an older woman with complete disregard for the space she was sharing saw a little girl. The little girl was happy being out with her mom and dad. In seeing the little girl, the older woman quickly commented, "she is the ugliest mixed child I have ever seen!" Come on people, words hurt and to a child who has yet to develop a cushion to bigotry and hate – the comment could stay as if said in the moment, for a lifetime. The Great Swan today is for this little girl and people of all ages who are yet to see how beautiful they truly are. Blessings, Linda     The Great Swan Today I am going to tell of a time when life was complicated, but thought was surreal. (laugh) Look into the eyes of eternity. The eyes that light the path of mystiques. Where are they? They are but the soul light on thought. Your thoughts are your lighted pathway. If your thoughts are dark, the light is even dimmer on how you perceive life. When your thoughts are of the grandiose,

Peek into my world.. Chelah the cat

A love in my life is Chelah, my cat. I am not sure I ever heard Chelah meow, although he always has plenty to say. The most polite in the morning, as he waits for breakfast. Always begins the day with "Mom, How are you?", repeating the phrase until the food is within reach. Then typically he takes 3 bites, takes another nap before returning to the dish. Chelah will be 11 on December 11. One of a kind and I pray he has many more years on this Earth.
