Adventures of Moniko is a great book. The first chapter started with the story of Moniko being a small spirit that appeared to be about six earth years old when his story began. Moniko was given the opportunity to venture beyond the Sun for understanding and knowledge with the help of The Elder guiding him all through the journey. The Elder waved his great energy each time he was to travel to a different place with Moniko. In their journey, Moniko found a companion which was a talking bird name, Fernae, who fed Moniko with seaweed when he was hungry for the first time in his life. The second chapter talked about Moniko’s experience at the Garden of Antiquity, when a beautiful blue light came over the pool, and the elder explained it to be a ceremony of magnitude and that another Universe has chosen to be among them. Chapter 3 narrates Moniko’s encounter with his brother, Manitou, and his journey of appreciation. Chapter 4 talks about the city of lights and Moniko’s interaction with the Library of Wisdom and the ancient keepers of the Library of Wisdom. Chapter 5 narrates how the elder shared a story with the two lambs, as well as their interaction with Moniko. Chapter 6 talks about the Enchanted World in the Sun and the kind of beings found in this world. Such beings include: Enchanted beings of all Universe; Dragons, fairies, and magical creatures. A purple dragon interacted with Moniko after which a fairy spoke to Moniko. This chapter also featured the band of energy which would forever be known as the Rainbow on the Earth. Chapter 7 narrates Moniko’s experience in the Hall of the Majestic and how that he was given four stones, blue, aqua, red and orange and told how to use it by Father. Chapter 8 narrates Moniko’s encounter with the Spirit of the Halibut, and he learned of the sacrifice made by the halibut for the earth travelers. Chapter 9 talks about Moniko’s interaction with his Soul Star which initially started as a voice reaching out to him. Chapter 10 talks about Moniko’s interaction with the fields of clover and how Moniko was able to share his thoughts. Chapter 11 talks about the Toad and the Tiger and their encounter with the enchanted Lord and the beautiful Mother energy. The Tiger and Toad completed their journey in separation beyond the garden of the Earth world. The Tiger taught strength, justice and fairness to the larger beings of Earth world’s animal kingdom while The Toad taught agility, quickness, and survival to the smaller members of the animal kingdom of the Earth world. Chapter 12 talks about Moniko’s return to the temple of the Elders, and how he finally met Mariah, his soul star.

This book was a very interesting read as it contained many adventures experienced by Moniko. I loved the inquisitiveness of Moniko. It reminds me of my childhood.
The stories, though fictional, there were some lessons I picked up from the narration. One of my favourite quotes was the reply the Elder gave to Moniko in page 31-32: "Two lambs were all that were chosen of the flock to assist on the journey. If I were to take the entire flock, would that not have shown that love is derived of abundance? Love is a connecting flow like a great river. As the water flows, all that is touched feels the same presence. Such as it is with two lambs, or two drops of water becoming a flow into multitudes of hearts. For love has not a start nor end, but a moment when the heart is touched and made to feel connected to our home in the Sun."
It was after I saw this I remembered that this statement was also used in the epigraph of this book.
One adventure I can never forget in a hurry is that of the wise halibut; and how the halibut made a huge choice and sacrifice for the masses of the Earth travelers. It's really inspiring.
Personally, aside the fun aspect of this book, I think this book has some lessons one can learn and apply in one's life.
