It is not about what you can take from an opportunity, rather what you create from an opportunity
Had a dream where my daughter bought a small house to refurbish,in the process I found a staircase which went beneath the house. I saw 12 islands for a commercial kitchen with each fully stocked and ready for use.My first thought was to gather pink dishes and silverware for her kitchen,then began looking closer and shifting the thinking, wondering about a greater usage of the kitchens. She was able to lease the kitchen to the school district for a six figure annual income.
Next I came across an ice rink where a group was playing hockey and wondered how expanding the usage could change the rink. She was able to lease space at the rink for a local team to store equipment and practice for an additional six figure annual income.
A basketball court was seen next,though I went back upstairs and the small house now stood on a corner lot as a very large home.
The point was for each underlying opportunity which was found and created a larger purpose, the original foundation grew as well with a continual thinking of expanding rather than taking from the opportunities presented. As a rule, we are driven to take what can be derived from an opportunity rather than seeing an opportunity as only a mustard seed in what it could become,settling rather than dreaming bigger and trusting a new vision as the outcome still unlimited.How do you see opportunity and are you seeing limits or expansion ?
