Changing the energy in a specified area

Many are under the impression, to clear the energy in a specified area a medium or energy worker needs to be attained for the task to be completed. You can change/cleanse the area in a home, business or any specified space by following a few simple steps.

Regardless of the intent, completely cleansing an area of all energy is a myth at best. You can lighten, change and set intent of the energy in an area, completing removing any and all energy would be like taking a star from the universe, it is not going to happen. Your energy field is roughly 8’ surrounding you, as is any other dense object or person. All other energy is either at times within the 8’ diameter or just beyond the field. What affects you would be within your energy field to create any sensations to you. Outside your energy field, energy can still manifest and create transformation of energy around you.


One simple tool for judging energy is the use of dowsing rods, copper are the most conducive to use as a monitor. As you hold the rods in front of you at chest height in a position where they are close to each other, any energy they approach will cause the rods to separate on contact. If using a medium or energy worker, I guarantee if the rods were used prior to changing/cleansing the energy – and used again afterwards, they will still contact and separate. The only distinguishing factor would be what is contacted could be lifted or lightened according to your intent when cleansing or changing the energy. 

Requesting the energy to be of only the highest level or goodness to be within the energy fields is a simplistic form of intent in changing the energy when smudging the area with white sage, which is my personal preference or Colorado sweet grass. White sage used in a smudge pot can also be effective in working to change the energy. The sage is used as a tool of intent in displaying the intent from within yourself and the true intent you hold creates the outcome. 

Smudging an area can be done according to the need felt, in accordance to the energy brought into the area. If you have negative energy in the home between the individuals in the home, then smudge for more positive area using the analogy that like attracts like, you are the conduit to the energy you exist in. Smudging the corners of a room and moving to the middle the repeated with a flow of smudging throughout the area while stating a firm intent can be used to cleanse/change the area.


Finishing by the lighting of either soothing candles or incense will complete the cleansing or change of the energy. Repeat as needed within your area as the need is felt to maintain a harmonious energy in your space. The use of simple tools, firm intent, and being grateful for the assistance should create an environment of peace from within to beyond your energy fields.

I first read this about 20 years ago in a email and it came back into my head today. Once read you will never totally forget as a parable is meant to be.   The Parable of the Fork There was a woman who had been diagnosed with a deadly illness and had been given 3 months to live. Her doctor told her to start making preparations to die so she contacted her pastor and had him come to her house to discuss certain aspects of her final wishes. She told him which songs she wanted sung at the service, what scriptures she would like read, and what she wanted to be wearing. The woman also told her pastor that she wanted to be buried with her favorite bible.  Everything was in order and the pastor was preparing to leave when the woman suddenly remembered something very important to her. There's one more thing. She said excitedly. What's that? came the pastor's reply. This is very important. The woman continued. I want to be buried with a fork in my right hand.
