Second Chance

Second Chances

A favorite Christmas movie of mine “One Magic Christmas” blends the grief of losing someone special with understanding how our actions if given a second chance can change the outcome of our life with touches of mystical blessings and being able to see a new direction and hope. During the last three years, many across our world chose either to be in grief or to see second chances during this great recess of change in humanity through economic collapse and rebuilding who we are. Being lost in the grief of what was is a choice to reflect backwards without opening the windows of possibility to the future.

In 2006, I was told we would enter into a time when faith and trust in your beliefs could no longer be confined to one day a week to uplift and satisfaction being found in religious or spiritual beliefs, people would either find who they were within themselves each day of their lives or many would choose to cease to exist, regardless of past belief – feeling a future no longer existed for them as what they had known, collapsed.
In 2007, a world economy started to collapse, future expectations seen diminished. Not only individual suicides, suicides of entire families, parents and children have been relayed through the media and personal experiences of those we know. Once considered masterminds of finance were disclosed when the ability to no longer shield acts committed became evident, corporations propped in the hopes of stabilizing the economy while workers found no relief from economic hardship, chaos worldwide with the focus of intent in lives seemed lost when the energy of money was seen and no longer found as a true stability. Millions of people stripped from all comfort, left to find life again, and understanding. Many have by looking at the true focus of who they are as one, able to regroup, move forward and finding a passion for life, rebuilding life again from scratch and love of the possibilities they do have, rather than possibilities of being told their capabilities. Second chance and second life in being passionate about what is done in life and beliefs held which fuel a new fire from within.

Events around our world touch hearts rather than minds being too busy and comfortable to process compassion for others. Tragedy is not just passed in reading; it is shared through social networks and discussed with the feelings captured from those of all parts of this world. Watching Egypt rise up at this time, without the armor or suicide bombers as shields – only hearts and minds connected in a quest for freedom. In many parts of this world, governments and people are following, thinking and developing understanding for not only Egypt or Tunisia, but also their own countries, peoples and beliefs and looking for a truth from within. No longer about Sunday or a day of the week, faith and trust in a second chance of the soul and faith they possess, rather than being of another in response. Second chancing the voice from within to create a world recreated, rather than only being rebuilt on the past.

Absolutely, everyone on this planet was born with a passion and gift to give and prosper in this world. Through the persuasion and prompting of the environment around them, family, politics, and ability – passions and the gift became the hobby of life, standing second in belief of accomplishing. By human nature, a person who is financially secure and living without risk, is going to take a second chance on sharing the gift from within in exchange for losing the material stability regardless if they are happy or find any joy in what life is providing. Calm seas never prompt safety from rocking the boat. The great recess has either unfolded for each into providing a second chance at being the spirit and gift of who they are, or has left them huddled in a lifeboat waiting to be brought aboard a larger vessel which will protect and provide for them, cold to joy but safely aboard with the exterior warm again.

I am not talking as an observer who has not experienced this recess; I took the plunge in 2007 with you. I took the challenge, fears, and hopes in understanding without regrets. I would love to hear your thoughts, from wherever you are in this world. Use the comment box to share and connect, you are the voice. Have you taken the second chance?
