RX: A shot of snake medicine

When transformation either physically or on a higher level is present, snake medicine crosses my path. Writing about snake medicine is through my own experience, rather then rewriting what is available. In physical transformation the snake physically crosses my path whether a garden snake or a water snake with a size I would not have imagined contact with. Snakes taking birth from the left field of a dream are transformation on the unseen level.

Snake medicine messages are powerful symbols in my life, not only of the snake though also taking into account direction, position and circumstances surrounding the snake. Physical or dream state I have yet to be struck or feel a fear of striking. Having a snake follow along the edge of a lake coming out at my feet only to raise the head a foot in front of me has calmed the fear of snakes in the physical or ethereal meetings.

A current dream state brought the return of the snakes in multiples. All sizes yet one color – purple with all facing forward. Those in the dream were unaffected by the snakes being present, even when I did my best in telling of the snakes which were surrounding the area. The final snake seen was a beautiful purple/pink blend with a head raised two feet yet still facing forward and watching.

Snake medicine is connected to healing in many forms, even in symbols used in medicine in this world. Snakes without intention of striking are not messengers to send immunity from venom in life, rather coming as protectors or watchers clearing your path without disturbance. A snake facing forward is shedding and clearing that which is unnecessary in proceeding and cleansing the road of the path becoming weary to travel bringing smoothness such as they are, yet symbolizing your willingness to shed energy and revitalize a journey with new beginnings. Purple itself is my favorite color and blended with pink symbolized a love associated with the messengers. Being of all sizes represented new paths opening large and small though unified at the core of stepping forward. All were in position which was not detoured through my own chaos in trying to alert others to the change and symbolizing each I tried to alert was already positioned and ready for their own changing process without interference of my alerts.

Calming yet powerful in approach and signifying as they erupted from the earth the changes although being sent from the ethereal level were grounded in the Earth as well. Ethereal changes in a physical walk blending knowledge and understanding and moving forward in trust of the watchers already in place and available. The likeness of this symbol logy can be applied to all messengers of the animal kingdom which cross our paths in either physical or ethereal form. View the messenger itself then direction, position, aggression, numbers and times of connection in your life and the pass or impasse of others surrounding your messenger at the time. Snake medicine itself is a general form, how you interpret and allow the medicine to be received is much like how the human body reacts to any medicine and the affect or inability to provide what is intended. Know and greet your messengers of all forms absorbing the RX being provided.

The Parable of the Fork - Author unknown

I first read this about 20 years ago in a email and it came back into my head today. Once read you will never totally forget as a parable is meant to be.   The Parable of the Fork There was a woman who had been diagnosed with a deadly illness and had been given 3 months to live. Her doctor told her to start making preparations to die so she contacted her pastor and had him come to her house to discuss certain aspects of her final wishes. She told him which songs she wanted sung at the service, what scriptures she would like read, and what she wanted to be wearing. The woman also told her pastor that she wanted to be buried with her favorite bible.  Everything was in order and the pastor was preparing to leave when the woman suddenly remembered something very important to her. There's one more thing. She said excitedly. What's that? came the pastor's reply. This is very important. The woman continued. I want to be buried with a fork in my right hand.
