Grocery experience encountering Star of Easter

Being Easter seems like the perfect day to share this experience.

On August 1st, 2006 I was sick for weeks though when my daughter asked if I would like to ride with her to the local grocery “Dillions” I agreed. Outside the temp was stifling feeling much like a

Arriving at the store, I noticed a man standing on the entrance area in front of a pole used for an incline into the store. Dressed in sandals, black billowing pants much like hammer pants from another time, crepe material long sleeve shirt with a brown suit type coat over his shirt. Gazed at him thinking the local police would escort him from town if they saw him. Not a town for allowing strangers to stay. Not a drop of sweat when I was dripping in the sauna state of the afternoon heat. As I thought this he just smiled, with his beautiful light brown eyes and shoulder length brown hair.

Across his forehead dents lined the forehead from side to side. Thought I could help you with those and he smiled again. Told him in my mind I needed to catch up with my daughter. Proceeding to grocery shop, could not think of anything else but how pure and peaceful he seemed. Coming out of the store in the cart area he was dancing in the empty space. Thought he better move on before somebody made an issue of him dancing. He just sent back the response of come dance with me. Not today I thought and he smiled.

Left the store, then it dawned on me who he was and within seconds returned to the cart area which seconds ago was almost empty, and now completely full of carts lined inside. Disappointed though I felt euphoric as well. Many times when I have encountered spirit, seemingly real I miss the mark having spoken to them as physical in the moment. I have always been conscious to entertain strangers I meet.

Though since this hot summer day you will never convince me the star of Easter does not return at will. Not just to myself, though likely millions at different moments of time and space.
